Our future
Our mission is to increase representation of women and gender diverse people in non-traditional roles. We’re a mission-based company who wants to reform culture and redesign industrial spaces.
Simply put: we want to help people, create positive change, and leave this place better than we found it. Because of this, we have big dreams and big aspirations; but we’re not there yet. We’re just getting started. This is where we want to go, and who we aspire to be as a company.
We’re a small, family-run business; it may take a while to walk this path, but we wanted to share with you its destination.
Sustainability
When it comes to our sustainability efforts, we’re serious about doing things right. We work with ethical, transparent factories around the world to create workwear that works. We’re proud to partner with exceptional manufacturers and some of the most respected certification standards in the industry. This ensures that our garments are made ethically in terms of social welfare, responsibly sourced materials, and lower-impact processes.
That being said, we’re always looking for ways to improve. Our short term goal: switching from synthetics to recycled fabrics. Our long term goal: becoming a certified B corp.
Inclusivity
When we talk about increasing representation: it means everyone. We know two things for certain: "Jobs don’t have genders”, and “You can’t be it, if you can’t see it”. We’re proud to support, feature, and work with diverse voices.
We offer inclusive sizing from 2XS-2XL. Our designs are based on real people and real bodies. But that said, we still have work to do to ensure that our clothes work for ALL bodies, not just some. Our short term goal: to expand our size offerings to include 3XL- 6XL.
Reconcillation
Peggy Workwear acknowledges that it is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
While we believe that land acknowledgments are a powerful first step, we look forward to the next one. Our goal is to collaborate with and support our local First Nations communities.
